HOW CAN YOU HELP ....
AVCYFS is a private non-profit organization established for the purpose of assisting children and families at risk. If you are interested in joining in the effort to assist at- risk children and families here are a couple of ways you can help.

Donations
As a non-profit organization we accept private and public tax deductible monetary donations in the form of cash, check, money order; in-kind donations such as computers for the children, office equipment, tickets to special events and more. Volunteer Your Time!
AVCYFS is a big proponent of volunteerism. Thus our doors are always open to volunteers with a heart for children!

• Volunteers are needed for the purposes of tutorial services; mentoring foster parents in the effective use of school readiness methods in an effort to prepare young children for entrance into school for the first time; and assisting in the planning, coordination, and production of special agency events.

• Preferably, prospective volunteers will be professionals, para-professionals or volunteers in the areas of early childhood development, education, social work, community services, training, child welfare, counseling, or related field; or simply those who have a heart for children.

• Preferably, prospective volunteers will have a minimum of 1 year work or volunteer experience in the above-mentioned fields.

• Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 12 volunteer hours per month.

• All volunteers must clear a criminal record background check and complete 15-hours of the agency’s pre-service training including an agency orientation, prior to servicing children.
